Julie L. Seely, MD

Julie Seely is the granddaughter of Nathan Seely, a black carpenter who built a famous 10-ft-wide skinny house on the National Register of Historic Places. An author and screenwriter, Julie transitioned from writing health educational materials for women in the early 2000s to writing about family legacy. Her company, Skinny House Press, co-managed by her son Devereaux, develops untold family stories into creative projects that showcase the value of legacy and heritage.

Cameron has been in love with movies since he was a child. After attending The New York Film Academy in Manhattan, he started teaching classes on filmmaking. It was at one of these classes that he met a student named Julie Seely, who had an incredible family story to tell. He had the pleasure of guiding Julie through writing her first feature screenplay "Skinny House" - about her family legacy. Since then, Cameron has worked on numerous film and theatre projects - and now serves as the Festival Director for the Atlanta Film Series that presents 4 film festivals each year.
